Detour

We spend a lot of time on our blogs discussing training, fears and concerns, and races. Sometimes, we offer glimpses of who we are to those who read.

And sometimes, people open a window directly into their lives.

Go here and read Comm's post. There's nothing I can post that will compare.

Wow. What a read. Wow.

Thanks for the advice about the back. I'm taking it slowly, moving carefully back into training (which sucks because this is supposed to be a "high-intensity" week).

Things seem to be getting better, so I hope your training is going well!

Thanks for the heads up. It would have taken me some time to cycle back to Comm's blog and that was a post I would not have wanted to miss!

Pol, it's funny how reading a post like that makes us step back and take inventory of our own lives. Comm's post was brave, compelling and moving. It reminded me how fortunate we are to have found this little blog community. I love coming here when ever I get the chance. It's so full of good people. It's always a reminder of how good life can be, how good life is.
